A Little About Me
My name is Mandy Carbajal. I was raised in Amarillo and settled back here with my family in 2013 after college in Georgetown, Texas, a fabulous fellowship in Washington, D.C., a brief stint in graduate school, and eight amazing years as an elementary music teacher in New Mexico.
My husband Sergio and I are the proud parents of three adventurous girls, twins Elinor and Evelyn, and our "late triplet" Eliza. Together, we love a good game of Uno Attack!, celebrating all things Christmas, traveling to our Colorado mountains, and eating hearty breakfasts. When I'm not sewing up a storm, you can find me homeschooling my girls, reading all the biographies, or cooking something delicious with spicy red or green chile.
I enjoyed quilting during my last year of college, but I began sewing earnestly in 2013. I love combining my teaching experience with my love of sewing. I'm excited to share this sewing adventure with you or your child - teaching the practicals of sewing and encouraging the development of boundless creativity.
